Who is responsible

For the personal information this notice describes, the party in charge is Cmsmeridia, the publisher of cmsmeridia.online. Anything you want to ask or request about that information can go to hello@cmsmeridia.online.

What we collect and why

Messages you send us. If you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, the website address you choose to give, the topic you select and your message. If you email us directly, we receive whatever your email contains. We use what you send to read and answer your message, and to correct the site if you report an error. If you ask about having a website built, our reply may describe the owner's web design services. We do not sell your details or pass them to anyone else for marketing.

Form security records. To stop automated abuse of the contact form, the server keeps a short record of form use linked to a one-way, keyed hash of your IP address rather than the address itself, plus a site-wide count of messages sent. Records older than 24 hours are removed in routine cleanup on the next form request. The contact page also sets one session cookie, described in the cookie notice.

Server logs kept by our host. Like almost every website, the hosting provider records technical details of each request, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time, in server logs used for security and troubleshooting. Those logs are kept under the host's own retention rules.

The tools. The comparison filter, platform wizard, cost calculator and migration planner run in your browser. What you type into them is not sent to us or stored.

We do not use analytics services, advertising cookies or tracking pixels, and we do not buy or sell personal information.

Who processes it

Two kinds of service provider handle data on our behalf: the web hosting company that serves the site and keeps server logs, and the email provider that carries and stores messages. They process the data to provide those services. Our host and email provider may store or process data in countries other than the one you are in, including outside the United States, under their own security measures.

How long we keep it

Messages are kept for as long as needed to deal with your question or correction, and deleted within 24 months unless a continuing conversation needs them. Form security records are removed in routine cleanup on the next form request after 24 hours. Server log retention is set by the host.

Your choices and rights

Write to the address above to find out which details of yours we hold, to have them corrected or to have them erased. Some U.S. states give residents specific privacy rights; we will respond to requests in line with the law that applies to you. You do not need to use the contact form at all; email works just as well.

Children

Cmsmeridia is written for people running businesses and is not aimed at children, and we do not set out to gather details about anyone under 13.
